John Nerikaat writes:
Dear Congressman Grayson, I don't know their names. They were not my loved ones but just fellow US citizens and human beings who were laid off their jobs like me back in 2002-2004. We used to attend job network meetings at our local Employment Services Program at the Capital Career Center on SW Walker Road and SW 185th in Beaverton, Oregon. They had health conditions but had lost health coverage. Over a period from 2002-2004, I was told by our coordinator that they had died, first one then another. If I had been in their shoes, I could have been one of them. In addition to the people with known names there are countless such instances of people who have died because they lost their medical coverage due to job loss. Thanks for all you do and for your courage. Sincerely, John Nerikaat
